It was Cody's 18th birthday yesterday. Woo hoo! We had fun celebrating with him. Things were pretty low key, but we're all going to see Wicked in London on Tuesday and then Cody leaves on his European travel adventure the next day so I'm guessing 18 will remain pretty memorable for him. Also, he got to vote! How many people become a legal voter 2 days before the presidential election?! Very cool.
The birthday boy...ah-hem, man
The cake (We didn't have candles so we supplemented Twix)

Unwrapping the present
Cody hasn't been able to play basketball since he's been here, so we thought he would love this gift. We were right.

Wrapping up the night by watching some American football on the laptop
Singing Happy Birthday to Cody; we mimicked the version we hear our Indian neighbors who live above us sing to their baby every morning.

Jill, This is so awesome that we got to see Cody's birthday party. I love all this new technology--it lets us all be informed and included. You do a good job of communicating.
It's awesome that Cody got to vote also. Way to go to be on top of things like that.
Do you go back to your old blogs to see if you have comments? Would it be better for me to email you instead of doing it this way?
Let me know.
Love, Grandma Susan and Richard
Hope you guys are having fun!!! I miss Europe. Hope Wicked was as amazing as I remember.
