Matriculation

A few weeks ago Justin attended his Matriculation Ceremony. This is somewhat like a rite of passage, after which a "commoner" officially becomes a student of Oxford University. The robes, suit, mortar board, and white bow tie were my (definitely not Justin's) favorite part. Even better, he has to wear the ensemble while he takes exams. And we thought BYU had strict standards! Come to find out I wasn't allowed into the ceremony, so I took pictures of some of the buildings around me while I waited.

Headed into the ceremony

A matriculated Justin. So scholarly.

I can't help but think of Mary Poppins when I focus on the rooftops. Chim-chim-chery!

I also had time to read the newspaper while waiting. This headline in the World News section caught my eye.
